Theory of Revolution in Islam

There is a concept like "Revolution" in the Imam culture and, especially in the shiia and sunni feqh (religions jurisprudence), under heading "commending to right and forbidden from bad" that was discussed repeatedly. A group prescribe and sometimes emphasize on necessity of commending to right and forbidden from bad in front of oppressive ruler and some of them believe that the commending and prohibition and especially armed uprising against oppressive ruler is prohibited and a person who isurrects against government is revoluter. This article examines the Quranic and traditional Documentations of commending and prohibition and uprising against oppressive ruler and Fatwa (religious statement) of some shiia and sunni religious scholars and their reasons onadmissibility and prohibition of uprising against oppressive ruler.
