Turning weakness into strength: strategies for future LIS

Library and information science is a field involved with crisis. Wittly convinced that the orientation of diverse researches and differ in the levels of standardization made it a detailed research field. In fact, recognition of its limitations could offer a proper strategy for development in the future. This paper surveys the current problems of library and information science and divides it to two sections. The first one is related to vague borders in this field and the second one is related to the ways that could be used to solve these problems.
