Media literacy is a set of skills, viewpoints, and knowledge that is need to understand and use of divers medias that, in the course of it, information transfer from origin to destination. Regarding to information explosion in the current era, the main object of media literacy is transferring main skills of information organization to addressee. In fact, the main object of this process is categorizing received information in the way that mediaʹs hidden goals and advertisements could not affect it. In order to receive this ■
aim, the main subjects of media literacy are developing cognitive skills, developing —j, i
critical thinking, recognition of communicationʹs visual formats. In this paper, ~i 8
definition, necessity, objects, principles, parts and different aspects of media literacy were discussed.
