12_ The Dialogue of Old and New in Political Thought of Qajar Era

The history of political thought in contemporary Iran is a matter of complexity and to know it adequately needs a degree of mastership in surveying its main sources and trends. Regarding the particular importance of Qajar era as a period of consternation and ignorant attitudes toward western civilization, making an examination of those aspects of early political thought survived us and those which introduced in confrontation with modern western thought is of great importance. The book reviewed in this paper purported to touch upon this subject and aimed to throw some light on its intricate and rather gloomy dimensions.
