چكيده لاتين :
The purpose of this study was to compare some of the psychological variables among high school girls and boys. Other aim of this study was to determine predictive strength of the variables in academic achievement.5062 of high school girls and boys were randomly selected. The instruments were Marsh self-concept scale (SDQ), Morgan and Jing academic self-efficacy scale (MJSES), Bar-On emotional intelligent questionnaire and researcher made questionnaires related to the gender beliefs and the gender contentment. The second semester GPA was considered as studentʹs academic achievement.The findings showed that the girls had low self-concept, academic self -efficacy, emotional intelligent and gender contentment, in comparison with the boys. Furthermore, the results indicated that just self-concept and academic self-efficacy could predict the academic achievements in girls, but in boys students partly of the variance in academic achievement was explained by self-concept, academic self- efficacy, gender beliefs, gender contentment and emotional intelligent.
