Revelatory Characteristics of Quranʹs words and Instructions

Revelation is Godʹs relationship, in His management and creation, with the whole world, and in common terminology refers to revelation of specific legislation and messaging from God. Accordingly, the prophet is only a link to the unseen to obtain messages for human beingsʹ guidance. The result has been divine religions and Scriptures, the last and best of which is Holy Quran revealed to Islamʹs prophet. Among important subjects over which past commentators and thinkers of Quran sciences have discussions, is the topic of "Quranʹs words". The revelatory nature of the inspired text is an important issue in the subject of revelation; and according to the general view of Muslims, the only source of inspiration and revelations of the Quran, including both words and meaning, is God Knower and Wise. Among evidence for this claim, are verses about Quranʹs revelation (Anam / 15; Taha / 114) and verses about absence of Prophetʹs intervention in the text revealed to him (Younis / 15; Nahl / 6 and 103), and calling Quran as reading and writing. In addition, the prophetʹs being illiterate and the supernatural characteristics of Quran are reasons for its revelatory features both in words and its meaning. Some of contemporary writers and intellectuals think that Quran is a human text or that revelation is the manifestation of God revealed to man and what the prophet says is his interpretation of his own personal experience said in the form of words, but historical evidence and Quranʹs verses all shows that revelation is documented by strong occult powers, and its prophet himself followed the revelation and did not have any intervention therein.
