Ownership Structure and Efficiency of Insurance Companies in Iran

هدف اصلي تحقيق حاضر، تعيين ساختار مناسب مالكيتي براي افزايش كارايي شركت‌هاي بيمه است. خصوصي‌سازي و رسيدن به اقتصاد آزاد يكي از روش‌هاي افزايش كارايي است. با آگاهي از ارتباط ساختار مالكيت و كارايي شركت‌هاي بيمه مي‌توان از كارايي شركت‌هاي خصوصي اطمينان حاصل كرد و با افزايش كارايي شركت‌هاي بيمه، در رشد و توسعه اقتصادي و ثبات بازاهاي پولي و مالي و صرفه‌جويي‌هاي اقتصادي مؤثر بود. جامعه آماري مورد مطالعه اين پژوهش شركت‌هاي فعال در بازار بيمه طي سال‌هاي 1387-1386 است. براي آزمون فرضيات تحقيق اطلاعات صورت‌هاي مالي شركت‌هاي بيمه طي دو سال 1387-1386 با استفاده از دو روش: تحليل پوششي داده‌ها و روش نسبت‌هاي مالي، تجزيه‌وتحليل و بررسي شدند. يافته‌هاي اين پژوهش بيانگر آن است كه شركت‌هاي خصوصي با ساختار بلوكي حقوقي در مقايسه با شركت‌هاي دولتي و ساير شركت‌ها بالاترين كارايي را دارند و بهترين ساختار براي واگذاري شركت‌هاي دولتي به بخش خصوصي و سرمايه‌گذاري‌ها، شركت‌هاي بيمه خصوصي با ساختار بلوكي حقوقي است.

The main purpose of this study is determining the suitable structure of ownership to increase the efficiency of insurance companies. Privatization and attaining to free economics are two ways of increasing efficiency By having knowledge of relationship between companiesʹ ownership structure and their efficiencies, it is possible to take steps towards increasing the companiesʹ efficiencies. Increasing the efficiency of insurance companies cause economic growth and development ,and stability of financial and monetary markets and economic savings. Statistical universe of the present research are active companies in Iranian insurance market during the years 2007-2008. For testing the hypotheses of research with applying the information of financial statements companies during 2007-2008, two methods has been used; data envelopment analysis and financial ratios. Findings of present research show that private companies with legal block structures have higher efficiencies than governmental and other companies, and that the best structure for donating governmental companies to private sector and investments is private insurance companies with legal block structure.
