چكيده لاتين :
Structural irregularity is an important subject that
plays significant role in the analysis and investigation
of structural behavior. Furthermore, it has been
one of the most important factors of building failure
in the previous earthquakes. According to the
worldwide valid regulations, structural irregularity is
divided into plan irregularity and height irregularity.
The latter is divided into "stiffuess irregularity",
"resistance irregularity" and "mass irregularity" based
on the Iranian 2800 standard. However, there is
another kind of height irregularity which is referred
to in other regulation as SEOCK, because of stores
split level in Duplex buildings. In this research the
vibrating parameters of buildings of these kinds,
including displacement changes and short column
formation, are investigated. For this purpose, a 15story
steel bracing building (5 different bracing
models, each of which in 4 different split level state)
is analyzed. Here, two states of structures, "without
split level" and "with split level" are compared, by
studying the vibrating parameters. Finally, the best
location of brace is suggested, accordingly for
reducing irregularity and controlling short column
phenomena.
