A mixture of elemental molybdenum and silicon powders at the stoichiometric composition of MoSi2 were ball milled at a planetary ball mill. In this research, The effect of rotational speed and ball diameter parameters on the synthesis of MoSi2 have been investigated. Another conditions such as ball to powder weight ratio and mass of the powder charge, were chosen similarly. The results indicate that increasing in milling intensity and decreasing in ball diameter caused faster formation of MoSi2. This results is derived of increasing impact intensity of particles and increasing in friction in vial cause to increasing in milling energy and high heat production in milling vials. Also it was
