Producing Nylon/Cotton Fabrics and Comparing with Polyester/Cotton Fabrics

In this study, physical properties of Nylon66/Cotton blended woven fabrics have investigated. For this purpose, Nylon66/Cotton (50-50) blended ring spun yarns with yarn count of 30/2 Ne were produced. Then, a Twill fabric with warp and weft densities of 32 and 22 cmʹ1 have woven and compared with a similar Polyester/Cotton fabric. The results showed that tensile strength of Polyester/Cotton blended fabric is higher than Nylon66/ Cotton fabrics, whereas the Nylon66/Cotton fabric elongation is higher than Polyester/Cotton fabric. In addition, the results of this research indicated that bending modulus, pilling and crease recovery angle of Nylon66/Cotton fabrics is much lower than Polyester/Cotton fabrics.
