Estimation of dye concentration in bi-component dye solutions is normally made using Beer -Lambert law, and through solving the constructed linear systems. In this way a variety of parameters such as experimental errors, restriction or inefficiency of color model, may lead to some inaccuracies in obtained results. Spectral similarity of dyes or spectral overlapping phenomenon is also an important effective factor in accuracy of prediction of dye concentration. In this paper* the accuracy of dye concentration
determination in bi-component dye solutions as well as the effect of spectral similarity of dye components are discussed by evaluation of the condition number values of respective constructed coefficients matrixes. Based on the obtained results, with increasing the amount of spectral similarity and overlapping of the binary mixtures components, the accuracy of the dye concentration prediction decreases as a result of increase in the condition number values of the resulted coefficient matrixes.
