Earth Surface Modelling Using Natural Cubic Spline

There are various mathematical models for modeling of surfaces especially for land surface. One of these models is spline method. In this paper, natural smoothing cubic spline is used for interpolation of a land surface, we formulate the structure of natural smoothing cubic spline and also the spline interpolation, is used for modelling of land surface. Then by developing the method in one and two dimensions, for a region in Khoram Abad city. The results obtained by the above method show that the spline interpolation is almost accurate.
