A survey of bacteriological & serological on brucellosis of non- industrial in comparison with industrial in Golestan province

In This survey , the brucella infection rate was studied in dairy catties of industrial and non-industrial herds in Golestan province. 10312 blood specimens were randomly collected from whole 400,000 heads of cow in the area. It must be indicatd that 986 of blood samples were taken from dairy cows of industrial farms and 9326 of them from dairy cows of traditional herds. The specimens were collected from 3 regions in whole province. Serological tests (Rose Bengal, Seroaglutination wright) also and 2-ME tests were done on blood samples. The results showed that brucella infection in province was 1.62% for industrial farms, 0.55% for non-industrial herds and 0.65% for total cows of province (67 reactor of 10312 samples). Generally according to the results of this survey, the prevalence and gradual increasing of the infection in province is not due to consumpting of cow milk and its products, and the invasion of brucella infection to the human being in this area must be searched in other animals like sheep and goat.
