Hegel and Iran-America Relation

In the post-revolution period and in the process of ideological-revolutionary discourse ruling that era, United States of America as the radical "other" identity-maker/identity-destroyer" (that "other" which we define our identity in opposing it and at the same time have to face its ruinous assaults) has been defined and redefined. In such situation, this "radical other" has been symbolized as the "myth" and at the same time wholesome attempt has been made to the people of this land come to the belief that it can stop the natural process of nationʹs history and therefore change it into "allusion"; imposing its values as the experimental fact on the rest of the world; furbishing its dominant imperialistic discourse; showing its anti-human, anti-moral creations rather natural; de-politicizing its selfish and authoritative policies; justifying and legitimizing every committed action; making whatever does not fit within its discourse to borrow from it; and influencing other nations vision in order to establish its control on the worlding. In this essay, taking advantage of Chesterton and Hegel teachings as it might be suitable, we try to show how such antagonism and alterity will eventually end up in erosion of self-identity.
