A Study of Commentary methodology of Imam Reza (pbuh)

A correct understanding of Godʹs Will in the holy Quran is necessary for extracting the applied and /or theoretical commands. It is based upon the knowledge of the correct method and use of Quranic Commentary. In this way deviation from the right commentary will be prevented and comments of the Quran researchers can be evaluated. Undoubtedly the best method has been offered by the infallible Imams. The infallible Imams(Masoumin) had been the direct addressees of the inspirations the most gnostic to Quran. In this paper, the methodology of the holy Quran has been studied through Imam Rezaʹs perspective. Through gathering and scrutinizing narratives from Imam Reza the following question is answered: Did Imam Reza have a specific method in his commentaries and if so, what were the interpretive methods of Quran from his viewpoint?
