Strategic principles, process and dimension as one of the areas of new management science in decades, is still on an evolutionary trend. It was initiated in the 1950s with strategy planning approach. In the early method of the process by collecting information from environment and analyzing opportunities and threats to adapt them, and then exploiting of analytical tools such as life cycle matrix, and general factors recognition were noticed.
In the 1980s research on strategic management was focused on comparative advantages, and organization capability in implementing strategies were emphasized. Later, researchers found that implementing organizations, strategic process, and finally in the last stage strategic management evolution, they found that not strategy process, resources and facilities of organization can have competitive advantages for organization, but also nowadays organizations are influenced by its external environment, and for success they need dynamic conformity with the environment. The organization while having stability should be flexible. Learning power and thinking generation should be increased at the level of organization and with prediction mechanism welcome the events and implement the dynamic strategy. In this article the evoluting process of strategic management is reviewed.
