Threat in Security Theories

Threat has been discussed in different approaches and schools such as Realism, Neo-realism, Constructivism, Copenhagen School Security Theory of the Third World, Soft Power, Information War, and Economic Theory. The nature, level territory, aspects and ways of assessing threat have been explored by these theories and approaches. The different viewpoints of these theories and approaches are influenced by their epistemology. Therefore, /7 possible to recognize and categorize them in epistemology, positivism, constructivism and post-positivism frameworks. Positivism deeds with the objective, material and external aspects of threat more than the rest. Constructivism mainly emphasizes on the structural aspects of threat and the way it is constructed, and Post-positivism examines the social, subjective and internal features of threat.
