Strategy and Geography; New Approach to Geostrategy

Although the emergence and development of Globalization has played down the role of the geographical factor in power and politics, the author of this article discusses the rise and revival of geographical considerations in strategic equations commonly referred to as "geostrategyIn the authorʹs view, geostrategy is considered an interdiciplinary concept derived from two fields, namely, politics (with emphasis on the unique role of power and the quality of power resources management) and geography (with emphasis on the unique role of hardware and software factors), which is strategically valuable in the power resources management in accomplishing major goals. To clarify the concept of geostrategy, the author attempts to first present a conceptual analysis of the concept, and then to present a practical model of it.
