A survey about job satisfaction of the librarians of public libraries of Artistic Cultural Organization of Tehran Municipality

This study has been conducted to determine the job satisfaction of the librarians of public libraries of Artistic Cultural Organization of Tehran Municipality in 2008-2009 (1387). The research method is survey and the desire information is gathered by questionnaire. The research society includes 213 librarians consisting 148 women and 65 men. The information is analyzed by Excel. The results show that the level of satisfaction from educational, research and job promotion perspective is less than average, while the other indicators like welfare facilities, human relation, job security, social position, policies of management and job nature how been higher than average. Therefore, the research hypothesis is confirmed.
