Feasibility study of creating digital library Allameh Tabatabaee university

Today, according to main mission of libraries in satisfying the informational needs of users, new methods are taken into account for designing the libraries, among which digital libraries have been allocated a special place in non- virtual environment of internet. By having more developed capacities for managing information, these libraries have been distinguished form other internet informational references. The present research is about Feasibility study of creating digital library Allameh Tabatabaee university show that the managers and librarians of Allameh Tabatabaee University libraries have good knowledge and acquaintance into the digital library, considering digital libraries. The research method is "descriptive survey Two questionnaires have been used for collecting information. The questionnaire "A" is for studying facilities. The questionnaire "B" is for studying the telecommunicating possibilities from the technology managersʹ points of view. For the date analysis of the research, a software called "SPSS" have been used. The research for digitalizing the library references and into the importance of existence of such libraries; inspite of the existing difficulties in preparing the budget and the loss of hardware and software equipments. Regarding libraries, some steps have considered; for instance: the participation of online Latin magazines and preparation of thesis in the from of CD. according to same experts, communicative on line equipment of our university are in average rate.
