Studying the state of faculty members scientific productivity at Karaj Islamic Azad University during 2003 to 2007

Purpose: This research aims to determine quantitative status of the scientific production by faculty members of Karaj Islamic Azad University (KIAU) in years 2003-2007. Methodology: The community which is being studied is all full-time faculty members of the University. Method of research was survey and required data were acquired from Online Faculty Information System (OFIS), KIAU website and statistics contained in "Pajooheshnameh" the annual publication. Findings: Findings indicate that the total of five-year scientific production of Karaj Branch includes 2758 documents; the highest rate is devoted to presented articles in conferences, and the lowest rate to workshops. Also among the years of research, year 2005 with 677 items has the highest and year 2003 with 417 items has the lowest production rate. Conclusion: It can be concluded that the highest rate of scientific production belongs to Faculty of Basic Sciences and the lowest to Psychology Faculty.
