رشد روز افزون و سهم فزاينده توريسم در اقتصاد جهاني هر روز چرخه اي تازه بر ساز و كار بنيادين اين صنعت مي افزايد تا جايي كه صنعت توريسم خود تبديل به نمونه اي از دهكده جهاني مي شود. بنابراين توسعه ي فعاليت هاي اقتصادي، اجتماعي و فرهنگي در بسياري از ابعاد با فعاليت هاي مرتبط به امور جهان گردي گره خورده است يكي از جاذبه هاي بسيار مهم كه مورد توجه اغلب مردم دنياست جاذبه هاي فرهنگي و تاريخي است كه اين جاذبه ها معرف فرهنگ خاص همان كشور و داراي ارزش هاي در خور توجه آن سرزمين و ويژگي هاي مردم همان مرزو بوم است. سرزمين پهناور ايران با طبيعت رنگارنگ و استثنايي خود و هم چنين با فرهنگ و تمدن باستاني آن ريشه در تاريخ كهن سال اين مرزو بوم دارد و نيز با آثار باستاني بسيار زيادي كه در جاي جاي اين كشورقرارگرفته، آن را در رديف يكي از ده كشور نخست جهان به لحاظ جاي گاه تاريخي و فرهنگي قرار داده است. استان گلستان به عنوان بخشي از سرزمين پهناور ايران زمين به لحاظ تاريخي ، داراي سابقه اي درخشان و از نظر دارا بودن عرصه تاريخي و يادماني بسيار غني است .تاريخ بسيار كهن استان گلستان و قرار گرفتن در مسير راه ارتباطي بين شرق و غرب كشور باعث گرديده تا يكي از كانون هاي مهم تاريخي كشور ايران مطرح باشد. آثار و نشانه هاي متنوع و مختلفي كه از سير تكويني فرهنگ و تمدن بشري به جاي مانده مي توانند به عنوان جاذبه هاي توريستي مورد استفاده قرار گيرند. تپه ها، قلعه ها، مساجد زيبا، زيارتگاه ها، برج ها، كانون هاي شهري و روستايي تاريخي، كاخ ها، پل ها، معابر و گذرگا ه هاي تاريخي، امام زاده ها و آرامگاه ، ديوار دفاعي و آداب و رسوم و ... گو شه هايي از جاذ به هاي تاريخي و فرهنگي استان گلستان است كه در صورت سرمايه گذاري مناسب و به كارگيري شيوه هاي نوين تبليغات مي تواند نقش چشم گيري در جذب توريست داخلي و خارجي داشته باشد.

The ever-increasing growth and growing share of tourism in global economy adds a new cycle to the fundamental mechanism of this industry everyday in a way that tourism industry itself has become a sample of the global village. Thus, the development of economical, social and cultural activities has been tied to the activities related to tourism in many dimensions. One of the very important attractions that has been popular for most of the people in the world, is the cultural and historical attractions, which introduce the particular culture of the country and show the values of that territory and characteristics of its people. The attractions of the vast land of Iran, with its colorful and exceptional nature along with the culture and its ancient civilization, originate in old history of this country. In addition, with regard to a lot of relics in different parts of the country, it has been ranked as one of the first ten countries in the world in terms of historical and cultural position. Golestan Province as part of the vast land of Iran has a brilliant background in history and is very rich in terms of historical and memorial areas. Having a very old history and being a transportation path between the east and west of the country cause Golestan Province to be one of the main historical centers of Iran. The relics and various sights which have remained from the creation path of culture and human civilization can be used as tourist attractions. The hills, castles, beautiful mosques, shrines, towers, historic rural and urban focuses, palaces, bridges, historic passage ways and crossings, tombs, defensive walls and different traditions and customs, etc. are just some samples of the historical and cultural attractions in Golestan Province, which can have an outstanding role in attracting internal and foreign tourists if invested properly and if modern methods of propaganda are used.
