Geomorphology of the ortasou river basin (hashtrude) focusing on erosion processes

The ortasou river basin is located in gharah aghaj (hashtrude- eastern azarbiyjan). This basin is approximately 30.6 square kilometers and it is about 40 kilometers around the basin. Four villages, namely ortasou, paeezgah, masanlou and doveyataghi. Are located along the river bank. From 1367 to 1377 there has been an average annual rainfall of 300 millimeters and an average daily temperature of 10 degrees centigrade. Due to climatic, biologic and ecologic factors, there has been a decline in the vegetation coverage of the basin. And human and domestic animals factors have intensified this decline. These factors have decreased the density of vegetation coverage and maximized soil density. Studies based on EPM model of erosion show that moving waters have caused the erosion of soil in most of the parts of ortasou basin.
