Philosophical Anthropology of Democracy

From authorʹs view point, there is a relevant connection between ontological, epistemological and anthropological foundations and political ideas and theories. Democracy, like many other phenomena is a product of philosophical thinking. Even those opponent philosophers of democracy, like plato and Aristotle, when criticized their contemporary democracies, have mainly emphasized on particular ontological and epistemological dimensions of human existence, without formulation of some kind of philosophical anthropology, it is impossible to establish and explain the necessary foundations of democracy. Although, the correlation among parts of the political theory triad has not been always clearly and explicitly declared, but it has been consistently existed indirectly and implicitly in political philosophy. This article is trying to examine the philosophical anthropology aspect of democracy. To accomplish this job, we should investigate suitable answers for following questions: 1. What is Philosophical anthropology? 2. What is the connection between philosophical anthropology and political theory? 3. What kind of philosophical anthropology is the basis of democracy? and how we can explain democracy on the basis of the theories of Bakhtin, Arendt and Habermas?
