To compare the effects of different methods of zinc application on soybean cultivar of ʹWilliamsʹ a field experiment with 4 replications in a completely randomized block design was conducted at Dr. Nakhjavani Agriculture Experimental Station of Urmia during growing season of 2005. In this study three main methods of zinc sulphate application, consisted of soil, foliar and zinc seed coated applications, were compared. Eight treatments of this experiment were: T1= control, T2=Znt T3=Znf, T4=Zns, T5= Znt+ Znf, T6= Znt+ Zns, T7= Zns+ Znf and T8= Znt+ Zns+ Znf. Results showed that there were significant differences among treatments (P< %1). Effect of treatments on the grain yield, biological yield, oil yield, seed oil, percent seed protein, percent seed zinc content, number of grains per pod, number of pods per plant, pod height, plant height and number of branches were significant. Effect of treatments on thousand grain weight was not significant. Seed treatment was not effective on characters. The effects of T8 on seed oil yield, grain yield and others were more than others but this treatment did not have significant difference with that of T7. Treatment T8 produced 1499 kg/ha more seed yield than control and increased protein percent and thousand grain weight about 7.9% and 8% respectively.
