The Relationship between Empowerment and Job security of Police University Personnel

The present article examines the relationship between empowerment and job security of IRI Police University (IRIPU) Personnel. In line with this, the two variables of personnel empowerment (including 5 aspects: feeling competent, effective, confident, independent in tasks and purposeful on one hand and personnel job security) was measured and analyzed. The present research is of descriptive-correlative type. A questionnaire whose validity and reliability is approved was used for collecting data. 200 IRIPU personnel who were selected through random sampling to fill out the questionnaires and 180 questionnaires were returned. The statistical method used in the research is Pearson correlation test. The results of the questionnaire were as follows: In general, there was a significant relationship between IRIPU personnel empowerment and their job security; however, the relationship between empowerment dimensions and job security were as follows: 1- There was no significant relationship between feeling competent and job security on the part of Police University personnel. 2- There was significant relationship between feeling effective and job security on the part of Police University personnel. 3- There was significant relationship between feeling confident and job security on the part of Police University personnel. 4- There was significant relationship between feeling independent and job security on the part of Police University personnel. 5- There was significant relationship between feeling purposeful with job security on the part of Police University personnel.
