The Role of Government Performance in Public Trust Development

Public trust is one of the most important dimensions of social capital; which its can enforce heavy loses on public system and in broader scale on political system. One the present crisis of todayʹs world is the trust reduction of citizens to government. Different events have caused the situation which the trust on public medias, labor institutions, business enterprises, and government agencies has dramatically decreases and a kind of suspicion has been developed between citizens and governmental institutions agencies( Alvani-1379:7). The trust reduction tend has contained either the developed countries or third world countries. For example in Brazil and Mexico, the results of survey and elections, published in the end of 1990s, showed that people are not satisfied of services rendered by their government. The posed problem is that how governmental organizations, with different missions, can absorb confidence and try to enforce the present trust; and for this, which main and important practical factors for each organization must be considered? In the present article, by identifying the performance factors effective to public trust, we tried to study their relation regarding the kind of mission in the governmental agencies.
