It seems the focus of competitive advantage is transferred from information technology to information systems. Competitive advantage is not the product of information technology, but it owed information systems and managerial basic processes and benefit from them. The purpose is facilitating the usage of information in the organization. These advantages can be intangible and related to aspects like skills and experiences of staffs and their consistency capabilities to organization. The purpose of this article is to introduce knowledge management, life cycle and knowledge management styles, and Groupware and stating the relation between characteristics and capacities of groupware and process phases of knowledge management The article will also study fundamentals of successful implementation of knowledge management regarding groupware application.
