مقايسه تاثير خميردندانهاي سفيدكننده Crest و پونه در جلوگيري از تشكيل رنگيزه دنداني

Clinical evaluation of whitening toothpastes on the removal of chlorehexidin stains.

خلاصه: سابقه و هدف: خميردندانهاي سفيد كننده متعددي جهت از بين بردن رنگيزه‌هاي خارجي دندان معرفي شده اند به علت وجود كاستي‌ها در تحقيقات قبلي اين مطالعه با هدف مقايسه دو خمير دندان سفيد كننده Crest و پونه در جلو گيري از تشكيل رنگيزه دنداني در بيماران مراجعه كننده به مركز دندانپزشكي دانشگاه آزاد اسلامي تهران در سال 1387 مي‌باشد. مواد و روش‌ها: در يك مطالعه clinical trial، cross over، double blind از 25 داوطلب پس از جرم گيري و پروفيلاكسي خواسته در طي يك دوره 4 روزه از كليه اعمال بهداشتي‌دهان اجتناب نمايند و تنها به استفاده از دهان‌شويه‌ها طبق برنامه مقرر اكتفا كنند. دهان‌شويه‌ها شامل كلرهگزيدين 2/. درصد، چاي، محلول تهيه شده از خمير دندان‌هاي سفيد كنندهCrest و پونه بود. از ساعت 9 الي 16 دو دهانشويه اول هر ساعت به مدت يك دقيقه و در ساعات 9 و 16 قبل از استفاده از اين دهانشويه‌ها از محلول خميردندان آزمايشي را به مدت 2 دقيقه دهانشويه نمايند. ميزان رنگيزه براساس ايندكس Lobene، در روز پنجم ثبت گرديد و پس از نه روز wash out، برنامه مقرر با محلول خمير دندان ديگر و در نهايت با محلول خمير دندان شاهد انجام گرفت. داده‌ها در هر مرحله استخراج و ثبت گرديد. جهت بررسي از آزمون كروسكال واليس استفاده گرديد. يافته‌ها: تفاوت معني داري بين خمير دندان سفيد كننده Crest و خميردندان شاهد (معمولي پونه) ملاحظه گرديد(001/0 > p) در حالي كه اين تفاوت بين خمير دندان سفيد كننده پونه و خمير دندان شاهد ديده نشد. تفاوت در كاهش رنگيزه بين دو خمير دندان سفيد كننده Crest و سفيد كننده پونه نيز معني دار بود(001/0 > p). نتيجه‌گيري : به نظر مي‌رسد كه خمير دندان سفيد كننده Crest در مقايسه باخمير دندان سفيد كننده پونه در كاهش رنگيزه‌هاي دنداني تاثير بيشتري دارد .

Abstract: Background and Aim: Nowdays, there are several whitening toothpastes claiming to be able to remove external tooth stains. The goal of this study was to compare the efficacy of Crest and Pooneh whitening toothpastes in the prevention of extrinsic tooth discolorations. Materials and Methods: Following scaling and prophylaxis, a total number of 25 volunteers were asked to avoid all types of oral hygienic care during a 4-day period and limit themselves to the use of mouthrinses including 0.2% chlorhexidine, tea and a solution prepared from the experimental tooth pastes. The first two mouthrinses were used on minute per hour from 9 oclock to 16 oclock, one minute per hour and at 9 AM to 4 PM; and subjects were instructed to apply one of the prepared experimental solutions once at 9 AM and once at 4 PM for 2 minutes prior to the use of two mouthrinses. The amount of stain was recorded on the fifth day based on Lobene index . Following a nine-day wash out , the procedure Ws repeated in a similar fashion for the other experimental tooth paste and and the control tooth paste (Pooneh). Results : Significant difference was observed between Crest whitening toothpaste and Pooneh toothpaste(P < 0.001). The difference between Pooneh whitening toothpaste and the Pooneh toothpaste was not significant. However, the difference in stain removal between two tooth pastes was also significant. Conclusion : Crest whitening tooth paste is more efficient in reducing extrinsic tooth discoloration compared to Pooneh whitening tooth paste.
