بررسي اثر رطوبت بر تغييرات ابعادي آكريل دورالي

The influence of humidity on expansion and shrinkage properties of duralay

سابقه و هدف: بازسازي تاج با كمك گرفتن از ساختار ريشه جزو درمانهاي رايج دندانپزشكي است. با وجود گسترش روزافزون استفاده از پست‌هاي پيش ساخته فلزي و يا تقويت شده با الياف ، هنوز مواردي وجود دارد كه استفاده از پست‌هاي ريختگي ارجحيت دارند. آكريل دورالي يكي از دقيق ترين و رايج ترين مواد جهت ساخت الگوهاي پست درون كانال آماده شده دندان به شمار مي‌رود. از آنجا كه تغييرات ابعادي آكريل پس از سخت شدن آن يكي از مهمترين مشكلات دندانپزشكان هنگام كار با انواع آكريل است در اين مطالعه به بررسي تاثير رطوبت بر تغييرات ابعادي آكريل دورالي پرداخته شده است. مواد و روش‌ها: در اين مطالعه به روش تجربي با استفاده از يك قالب فلزي از جنس برنج آبكاري شده ، تعداد 60 عدد الگوي آكريل دورالي به شكل استوانه هايي به قطر mm 10 و ارتفاع mm 12 تهيه و پس از كدگذاري به صورت تصادفي در دو گروه 30 تايي (گروه كنترل و گروه آزمايش) قرار گرفتند. حجم ، ابعاد (قطر و طول) و وزن نمونه‌ها به ترتيب به وسيله ديلاتومتر، كوليس ديجيتالي و ترازوي ديجيتالي با دقت gr0001/0 اندازه گيري شد. نمونه‌هاي گروه كنترل در محيط خشك و نمونه‌هاي گروه آزمايش در آب مقطر ديونيزه به مدت 7 روز نگهداري شدند. پس از گذشت اين مدت مجدداً حجم، ابعاد و وزن نمونه‌ها اندازه گيري گرديد جهت به حداقل رساندن خطا در مطالعه هر كدام از فاكتورهاي موردنظر 6 بار توسط محققين اندازه گيري شدند. اطلاعات بدست آمده براساس آزمون‌هاي Paried t.test و student t.test تجزيه و تحليل آماري گرديدند. يافته‌ها: نتايج مطالعه نشان داد كه حجم و ابعاد آكريل دورالي در محيط خشك كاهش مي‌يابد. كاهش حجم، طول و قطر نمونه‌ها در سطح كمتر از 05/0 معني دار بود. در محيط مرطوب حجم و ابعاد و وزن آكريل دورالي بطور معني داري افزايش يافته بودند (05/0 > p ). همچنين مشخص شد كه در محيط خشك وزن آكريل دورالي اندكي افزايش ميابد اما اين تغييراز نظر آماري معني دار نبود (05/0 < p). نتيجه گيري: بر پايه نتايج حاصله از مطالعه حاضر با توجه به جذب آب و افزايش حجم و ابعاد نمونه آكريل دورالي در محيط مرطوب به نظر مي‌رسد كه الگوهاي پست و كور ساخته شده با دورالي بهتر است كه به صورت خشك به لابرتوار ارسال شوند .

Abstract: Background and aim: Reconstruction of the tooth crown using the root structure is one of the common dental treatments. Despite daily increase in using prefabricated metal or fiber reinforced posts, there are still cases in which using casting posts are preferred. Duralay acrylic resin is considered as one of the precisest and most common materials for making post patterns in prepared dental canals .Since acrylic resin’s dimensional changes after its setting is one of the main dentist’s problems while working with it, this study has evaluated the humidity’s effect on duralay’s dimensional changes. Materials and methods: In this experimental study, a plated brass mold was used and 60 duralay cylindrical models were made with 10 mm diameter and 12 mm height. These models were coded and then randomly divided into 2 groups (30 case and 30 control).Volume, dimensions (diameter and height) and weight of samples were measured by dilatometer, digital Collis and digital scale respectively. The samples of the control were kept in a dry environment and the samples of the cases group, in the deionized distilled water for 7 days. After this period, volume, dimensions and weight of the samples were re-measured. For minimizing the probability of the errors, each factor was measured 6 times by the researchers. Datas were statistically analyzed using paired t test and student t test. Results: This study showed that duralay’s volume and dimensions decreased in a dry environment which was significant (p < 0.05).In a humid environment, duralay’s volume dimensions and weight increased significantly (p < 0.05). It was also observed that duralay’s weight increased a little in a dry environment, but it was not significant (p > 0.05). Conclusion: According to the results of this study and regarding duralay’s water absorption and dimensional volume expansion, it seems better that send prepared duralay’s post and core patterns to the Laboratory in a dry environment.
