Evaluation of Community and Mental Health Nursing Department of Gonabad University of Medical Sciences in 2010

زمينه و هدف: كيفيت در نظام آموزشي از اهميت ويژه اي برخوردار بوده و هدف آن استفاد‌ه‌ي بهينه از منابع و امكانات است. با توجه به اهميت ارزشيابي در ارتقاي كيفيت، اين مطالعه به منظور ارزيابي دروني گروه پرستاري بهداشت جامعه و روان دانشگاه علوم پزشكي گناباد انجام شده است. روش تحقيق: اين پژوهش از نوع توصيفي و نمونه هاي پژوهش اعضاي هيات علمي، مديران مربوطه، دانشجويان، مستندات و منابع مرتبط با گروه پرستاري بهداشت جامعه و روان دانشگاه بوده كه به صورت غيرتصادفي مبتني بر هدف انتخاب شده اند. ابزار جمع آوري داده ها پرسشنامه و چك ليست بوده و گردآوري داده ها با استفاده از مشاهده، پرسشگري و حصول اتفاق نظر به روش بحث گروهي متمركز صورت گرفته و از روش هاي آمار توصيفي براي تفسير نتايج استفاده شده است. يافته ها: نتايج ارزيابي حاصل از مجموع نمره‌ي به دست آمده در 8 عامل، 41 ملاك و 212 نشانگر مورد بررسي نشان داد كه عامل امكانات و تجهيزات آموزشي با كسب 18/92 درصد، بيشترين نمره و عامل دوره هاي آموزشي و برنامه هاي درسي و غير درسي با احراز 55/55 درصد، كمترين نمره را به خود اختصاص داده است. نتيجه گيري: گروه بايد در موارد داراي وضعيت مطلوب، جهت حفظ و ارتقاي بيشتر متناسب با پيشرفت علم و تكنولوژي تلاش نموده و براي بهبود عواملي كه نمره‌ي بالايي در ارزيابي دروني نداشته، بررسي و برنامه ريزي دقيق نمايد. همچنين مديران دانشگاه نيز بايد با كمك و حمايت هاي موثر، شرايط و منابع لازم براي بهبود وضعيت گروه و دستيابي به بهترين حد مطلوب را فراهم سازند.

Background and Aims: Quality in educational system deserves special importance and its purpose is the maximum use of resources. Also, evaluation plays a fundamental role in quality improvement. Therefore, this study was designed to investigate the internal evaluation of community and mental health nursing department of Gonabad university of medical sciences. Materials and Methods: This study was a descriptive one. The sample included faculty members, managers, students and related resources as well as the documents of community and mental health nursing department of Gonabad university of medical sciences. A non-random selection based on the objective was used for their selection. Data collection tools were a questionnaire and a checklist. Moreover, observation, inquiry and focus group discussion were used to collect data. The data were analyzed via descriptive statistics. Results: Evaluation resulted in 8 factors, 41 criteria and 212 markers that were studied and indicated that the total score of facilities and educational equipments were the highest (92.18%). The minimum score was allocated to educational courses, academic and nonacademic curricula (55.55%). Conclusion: The department should attempt to maintain and promote the items with desired status according to progress of science and technology, they also should try to improve the factors that did not get high score on internal evaluation, by careful planning. University administrators also should provide necessary resources and good conditions to improve the group and achieve the best conditions.
