برادران زيمنس و انقلاب ارتباطات

اگرچه سابقه تبادل اطلاعات به قدمت جامعه بشري است، اما با آغاز عصر الكتريك در قرن نوزدهم، افزايش سرعت و حجم انتقال اطلاعات، انقلابي در فنآوري ارتباطات پديد آورد كه تكوين آن به عصر كنوني يا عصر الكترونيك منجر گرديد. براي درك چنين تحولي توجه به تاريخ پروس و خانواده زيمنس از آن كشور راهگشاست. در شرايطي كه پروس راه صنعتي شدن را ميپيمود و در آن كشور بر تعداد شركتهاي سرمايهگذار در صنايع مختلف افزوده ميشد، شركتهاي برادران زيمنس از موقعيتي ممتاز در فنآوري ارتباطات و توليد تجهيزات الكتريكي برخوردار گرديدند. در پروس اين خانواده با بهرهگيري از نظام كارآمد اداري دولتي، پيوندهاي خانوادگي و نوآوريهاي تجربهمحور و دسترسي به بازارهاي جهاني، طرحهاي بزرگي را به اجرا در آورد كه نقاط مختلف جهان را به هم متصل و نيز امكان ارسال پيامها را در زماني كوتاه ميسر كرد. اين پيشرفتها، علاوه بر اينكه پايههاي لازم را براي تكوين اين فنآوري در قرن بيستم فراهم نمود، بر حجم مبادلات تجاري و فرهنگي و نيز بر سرعت تحركات ديپلماتيك و نظامي افزود. نوشتار حاضر چگونگي بر آمدن زيمنسها و زمينههاي 1870 مورد بررسي و - منجر به نقشآفريني آنان در انقلاب ارتباطات را در سالهاي 1847 تحليل قرار داده است.

Although the history of communication is as old as history of human society, the speed and volume of communication with the advent of electronic era in the 19th century created a revolution in the communication technology. At a time when Prussia was traversing the path of industrialization and the number of companies investing in different industries was increasing by the day, the Company of Siemens Brothers enjoyed an outstanding position in communication technology and manufacturing of electronic equipments. Through utilizing effective administrative system, family ties, experimentbased innovations, the Company launched great plans which connected different parts of the world and made the transmission of messages in short time possible. This development left a serious impact on economy, politics, military movements, diplomacy and cultural exchanges, in addition to providing necessary grounds for the completion of this technology in the 20th century. The present paper is an attempt to study the intrinsic reasons and extrinsic factors that prepared the grounds for the rise of Siemens and its role in the communications revolution which in its turn transformed the communication system in the world in the period under study.
