France Academy of Sciences (FAS) from the advent of its establishment (1666) has been facing the different fluctuations. Throughout its rather long existence, the academy has offered invaluable services to the science. The membership of outstanding scientists such as Lavasie, Pasture, Mary and Pier Couri, Jussio and the others have make the academy reputable in the world. Making the globeʹs map over the year 1735 by the great scientists Bouguer and Maupertuis was one of the notable activity of the academy. FAS has had serious revisions over its organizational bodies throughout the years to remain update with the latest science and technology developments. Some other scientific activities of FAS are as follows, publishing the scientific findings, holding different national, international conferences, maintaining archives, granting and awards to the scientists. FAS has different sub-committee and foundations, this academy has effective role in studying the national strategic affairs.
