Devices featuring sizes less than 100 nanometers (nm) are considered to be the products of nanotechnology. Nanotechnology marks the nebulous boundary between the classical and quantum mechanical worlds. However, imminent breakthroughs in computer science and medicine will be where the real potentials of nanotechnology will be materialized first. Nanotechnology is an interdisciplinary field which requires close relation among several fields such as physics, biology, engineering, chemistry, computer science and some other disciplines. Nanotechnology centers are mushrooming around the world as more funding is provided and nanotechnology market flourishes. The rapid progress of nanotechnology is evident by the increasing appearance of the prefix "nano" in scientific journals and the news.
