ISLAMIC EDUCATIONAL SCIENTIFIC AND CULTURAL ORGANIZATION (ISESCO)

The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), is an international entity working within the framework of the Organization for the Islamic Conference (O1C) in the field of education, science, culture and communication. The main task of this organization is to establish proper relations concerning the above-mentioned fields between Islamic countries. Enjoying close relations with universities, scientists and scholars in one hand, and its affiliation to OIC, in the other, can pave the way toward promoting scientific and technological activities in Muslim countries and introducing their achievements to the world. In view of the important role this multifunctional organization can play in the world, it is quiet obvious that National Commissions of ISESCO in all countries, especially in Iran, should have been taken into serious consideration more than before. The Iranian National Commission of Islamic Educational and Scientific Organization should move beyond its nominal role as a governmental institute and arrange a scientific council composed of distinguished scientists and eminent scholars in each member country to reinforce mutual cooperation among the Muslim countries and thereby promote their education, science, technology, culture and communication. In this respect, guidelines should be drawn for member states in general, and Iran in particular, to direct university students and researchers towards ISESCOʹs objectives, and in return benefit from its support in conducting endorsed research studies.
