مقايسه ميزان آشنايي و استفاده دانشجويان پزشكي از كتابخانه ملي ديجيتال پزشكي ايران

Comparison of the utilization and ability of medical colleges students in using the electronic databases existing at Integrated digital library portal (IDL)of Iran

هدف: هدف پژوهش حاضر مقايسه ميزان آشنايي و استفاده دانشجويان پزشكي دانشگاه‌هاي ايران، تهران و شهيد بهشتي از كتابخانه ملي ديجيتال پزشكي ايران است. روش‌شناسي: پژوهش حاضراز نوع پيمايشي و توصيفي است. براي گردآوري داده‌ها از روش توزيع تصادفي پرسشنامه استفاده شد كه پس از بررسي روايي و پايايي در‌اختياردانشجويان پزشكي دانشگاه‌هاي علوم پزشكي ايران، تهران و شهيد بهشتي (جمعاً 300 نفر) قرار گرفت. براي تجزيه و تحليل داده‌ها از روشهاي آمار توصيفي نظيرجداول فراواني، نمودارهاي ستوني و محاسبه شاخص‌هاي مركزي مانند ميانگين استفاده شد. براي محاسبه آمار‌هاي لازم از نرم‌افزار Excel استفاده شده است. يافته‌ها: نتايج پژوهش نشان داد كه ميزان استفاده و آگاهي دانشجويان در هر سه دانشگاه پايين‌تر از حد متوسط است. افرادي كه از وجود كتابخانه ملي ديجيتال پزشكي آگاه نبودند. دانشجويان در هر سه دانشگاه بيشترين مشكل را نا آشنايي با اين كتابخانه اعلام نمودند. در كل از ميان دانشگاه‌هاي مورد بررسي دانشگاه تهران در پايگاه‌هاي Proquest، Scopus، Thomson، Elsevier وEndNoteبيشترين ميزان استفاده را داشت. ميانگين امتياز توانايي دانشجويان در بهره‌گيري از راهبردهاي جستجو براي دانشگاه ايران، تهران و شهيد بهشتي به ترتيب 43/2، 89/2 و 87/2 است. نتيجه گيري: يافته‌هاي پژوهش حاكي از آن است كه توانمندي پژوهشي دانشجويان پايين‌تر ازحد متوسط است و در حد مطلوبي قرار ندارد. پيشنهاد مي‌گردد آگاهي و توانايي پژوهشي دانشجويان را به طرق مختلف افزايش دهند.

Purpose: The present paper aims to compare the utilization and ability of medical students in using the electronic resources of the IDL portal of Iran. Methodology: The survey was conducted through a structured questionnaire circulated among 300 medical students taken from three main universities. A stratified accidental random sample method was used for selection of respondents and interacting with them. These respondents were among those available in the university campus during the survey period. The descriptive statistics methods such as the frequency tables, column graphs and calculation of the central indexes such as “average” have been used to analyze the data which have been practiced by the Excel. Findings: The findings of this research demonstrate that the awareness and utilization level of the students in the three universities are lower than average. The students of the three universities declare the lack of acquaintance with this digital library as their most significant problem. Among the investigated universities, students of Tehran University use the EndNote, Elsevier, Thomson, Scopus and Proquest databases most. All the subject students express the effect of the IDL on the scientific activities as too much. The average points for utilization of searching strategies are 2.43, 2.89 and 2.87 respectively for Iran, Tehran and Shahid Beheshti Universities. Conclusion: Our findings suggest that the research capabilities of students is below average . Knowledge and ability of them must be improved
