تحليل ميزان درك كاربران از نمادهاي تصويري محيط رابط گرافيكي نرم افزار سيمرغ

Analysis of the Usersʹ Understanding of Icons in Graphical User Interface of Simorgh Software

هدف: هدف اين پژوهش بررسي نمادهاي تصويري به كار رفته در محيط رابط گرافيكي نرم افزار كتابخانه‌اي سيمرغ و تحليل ميزان درك كاربران اين نرم افزار در دانشگاه بيرجند از تعامل با اين محيط مي‌باشد. روش: اين پژوهش از نوع كاربردي است و به روش پيمايشي انجام گرفته است. به‌منظور سنجش درك پاسخگويان از نمادهاي تصويري صفحات مختلف بخش جست وجوي نرم افزار سيمرغ، 32 نماد از 4 صفحه در بخش جست وجو كه در دسترس جامعه مورد پژوهش بود، انتخاب و در قالب يك پرسشنامه گنجانده شد. براي تجزيه‌وتحليل داده ها از روش-هاي آمار توصيفي و استنباطي استفاده شد. يافته ها: براساس سطوح پنج گانه (طيف 5 ارزشي ليكرت)، نگرش پاسخگويان نسبت به سه مولفه ميزان اهميت، رعايت معيارهاي كاربرپسندي و كيفيت نمادهاي تصويري محيط رابط گرافيكي نرم افزار سيمرغ، به‌ترتيب در سطوح متوسط به بالا، متوسط به بالا و متوسط ارزيابي شد. همچنين درك كلي پاسخگويان از اين نمادها، 5/38 درصد بود كه با درك مطلوب (60 درصد) تفاوت معني داري داشت. در ميزان درك پاسخگويان مقاطع تحصيلي مختلف از نمادها، تفاوت معني داري مشاهده نشد. اما، نحوه درك پاسخگويان از نمادهاي صفحات مختلف بخش جست وجوي اين نرم افزار، همسان نبود. همچنين، حوزه هاي تحصيلي و تجربه پاسخگويان در استفاده از محيط گرافيكي نرم افزار سيمرغ، در ميزان درك نمادها اثرگذار بود. اصالت/ارزش: اين پژوهش ضمن طراحي پرسشنامه در زمينه ارزيابي وضعيت درك نمادهاي تصويري نرم افزار كتابخانه اي سيمرغ براساس مولفه هاي موردنظر و بهره مندي از پيشينه هاي موجود و نظر متخصصان، اين امكان را نيز فراهم آورده است تا دست‌اندركاران نرم افزارهاي كتابخانه اي ضمن برطرف كردن نقاط ضعف و تقويت نقاط قوت، با معيارهاي موجود در اين زمينه و اهميت آن ها بهتر آشنا شده و در توليدات آتي خود از آن ها بهره بگيرند.

Abstract Purpose: This research is devoted to study the icons in graphical user interface of Simorgh library software and analyze the usersʹ understanding of and interaction with this software in Birjand University. Methodology: The methodology of this research is of survey type and it is an applied study. To measure the respondersʹ understanding of icons in different pages of search section in Simorgh software, 32 icons from four pages of search section which were available to the population under study were chosen and put into a questionnaire. Both descriptive and deductive statistics methods were utilized for data analysis. Findings: According to five-level Likert scale, the userʹs perspective regarding the three elements of significance level, observing the criteria to be user-friendly, and quality of icons in graphical user interface of Simorgh software were evaluated to be higher than average, higher than average, and medium, respectively. Besides, usersʹ general understanding of these icons was 38.5% which has a significant difference compared to the desired level of understanding (60%). No significant difference was observed among understanding of the icons by users of different educational level; however, usersʹ understanding of icons in different pages in search section of this software was not identical. Furthermore, educational field and experience of users in using the graphical interface of Simorgh software influenced the level of understanding of these icons. Originality/Value: Through designing a questionnaire for evaluating the level of understanding of icons in Simorgh library software based upon mentioned elements as well as making use of existing literature and expertsʹ opinion, the present study has provided the opportunity for those involved in library software development to alleviate the weaknesses and reinforce the strengths; also, they can better get acquainted with existing criteria in this field and their importance to make use of them in their future products.
