حسام‌الدين سالار و جامع قوانين علم الهييه او

از رياضي‌دان و فيلسوفي به نام حسام‌الدين علي بن فضل‌اللّه سالار، گذشته از چند رساله كوچك رياضي، كتابي به نام جامع قوانين علم الهييه در مثلثات كروي باقي مانده است كه خواجه نصيرالدين طوسي در تاليف كشف القناع عن اسرار الشكل القطاع از آن بهره برده است. با اين حال، در منابع كهن از او به‌ندرت ياد شده و در پژوهش‌هاي جديد نيز آنچه در باره او گفته شده نادرست و متناقض است. برخي از پژوهشگران زمان زندگي او را اوايل قرن ششم و برخي ديگر اواسط قرن هفتم دانسته‌اند. برخي ديگر نيز، كه پذيرفته‌اند كه جامع قوانين علم الهييه در نيمه‌هاي قرن پنجم تاليف شده است، اين اثر را از كسي ديگر گمان برده‌اند و زمان زندگي حسام‌الدين سالار را قرن هفتم هجري دانسته‌اند. در اين مقاله، با تحليل اين اقوال، نشان داده خواهد شد كه جامع قوانين علم الهييه در اواسط قرن پنجم هجري تاليف شده است و نويسنده آن نيز كسي جز حسام‌الدين سالار نيست و اقوال ديگر در اين باره نتيجه خلط ميان او و دو تن ديگر به نام‌هاي حسام‌الدين منجم و حسام‌الدين شامي است. گذشته از اين، اثري ديگر از حسام‌الدين معرفي خواهد شد و جايگاه او در تاريخ علم مثلثات نيز مورد بحث قرار خواهد گرفت.

The extant work of the mathematician and philosopher H?is?m al-D?n ?Al? ibn Fad?l-All?h al-S?l?r is limited to some small mathematical treatises and a book named J?mi? Qaw?n?n ?Ilm al-Hay?a (Compendium of the Laws of the Science of Astronomy). The latter has been used by Nas??r al-D?n al-T??s? in writing his Kashf al-Qin?? ?an Asr?r al-Shakl al-Qat?t??? (Removing the Veils of the Secrets of Sector Figure). Nevertheless, he is rarely mentioned in ancient sources and what we find about him in modern scholarship is largely false and contradictory. Some place him at the beginning of the sixth century AH, others at the middle of the seventh century AH. Still others, while accepting that the Compendium of the Laws of the Science of Astronomy has been written about the middle of the sixth century AH, believe that it belongs to another author, because they consider H?is?m al-D?n as an author of the seventh century AH. In this article, we show that the Compendium of the Laws of the Science of Astronomy has been written about the middle of the fifth century AH, its author is no one but H?is?m al-D?n al-S?l?r and all that has been written to the contrary is due to the confusion between H?isam al-Din al-Salar and two other persons named H?is?m al-D?n Munajjim and H?is?m al-D?n Sh?m?. We will also introduce another work by H?is?m al-D?n al-S?l?r and discuss his place in the history of trigonometry.
