Philosophy of the finality and its relation with the leadership

This paper deals with the relationship between the Islamic principle of seal of prophethood and the Shiʹiteʹs view of Imamat. The writer argues that Imamat guarantees seal of prophethood and that the secret to the survival of Imamat theory is its two-sided link with religion and seal of prophethood. If the principle of Imamat is negated, first the theory of the perfection of religion is devalued and then the principle of seal of prophethood loses its meaning and theoretical support. To prove this, the writer first analyses the various theories of seal of prophethood,including the theories of Iqbal, Abdulkarim Soroosh and Shahid Motahhari, and then presents arguments to support the claim that seal of prophethood and Imamat are compatible.
