A Comparative Study on the Shicites and Sunnites* Views about the Womenʹs Employment

The issue of the employment of women in the out-of-house affairs, their economical involvements, and the interference of such employments with the womenʹs major role in the family as trainers and caretakers of the affective considerations of the family members are among the issues which require more attention. The Imamit jurisprudents approve womenʹs employment provided that it does not result in the violation of the family rights and provided that the employment is in line with womenʹs physical and social conditions. On the other hand, the Sunnites do not approve the na □ ejuSo. employment of women and consider them responsible to take care of the affairs just in the house and family. Considering the vitality of the issue at the present time, it is necessary to study the rationales provided by each of the parties in regard with the employment of women so that better results can be achieved.
