Phytoplanton species in ballast water of two oil tankers in Khark Island M.

This study was carried out in order to investigate the status of phytoplankton species that were carried from the ballast water of two oil tankers in Khark Island oil terminal during 2008 to control and prevent further environmental impacts on regional and national level. This was a part of research plan of ballet water of oil tankers in Khark Island oil terminal. Sampling was done by Plankton net with 20[i mesh size. Totally 6 following species Ceratium sp., Rhizosolenia sp., Coscinodiscus jonesianusyEucampia sp.,Chaetocerus diversicurvatus Thalassionema nitzschoides were found in ballet water of ships and were dominant and native species in indo - pacific and Persian Gulf and previously were reported from Persian Gulf. So they were not mentioned as newly entered species.
