چكيده لاتين :
One of the most important and fundamental problems in Qajar era was the succession to the crown among the Qajar kings. Inspite of the existent policies of the time, this question since the appointment of Abbas M irza as the successor to the reigning of Muhammad Shah Qajar led to tumults and civil wars in the country. The weakness of the Qajar system and the discrepancies and conflicts among the princes and the unsuccessful civil policies led the British and Russian governments to interfere into the affairs of the country. Through Golestan and Torkamanchai treaties, the Russians obtained the right to supervise and dominate the affairs of the country and the British, afraid of the Russian influence changed their role from indifference to active interference, and they made pacts with Russia. The interference of these two countries and their agreement over succession although removed the civil war and a very great crisis, it created several consequences and confronted the Qajar rulers with several fundamental problems.
