* The Economic Goals of Islamic Government

If we make known what the economic goals of Islamic government are, we can define the needs, the required potential and the reasonable methods of achieving the goals. An investigation of the economic goals of Islamic government based on transmitted as well as intellectual evidence shows that these goals can be of three kinds with different levels: high level (social welfare), intermediate level (justice, security and economic growth) and elementary level (employment for all and the general price level stabilization). In the accomplishment of the goals social welfare and the other goals might come into conflict. In this case the high-graded one is to have priority over the others, and when the various goals come into conflict with each other, the priority should be given to the one which we find closer to the high-graded goal.
