Security Standards of Information Technology

Information technology has been developing and with its development, welfare and services have developed too. But along with the development of services and welfare resulting from information technology, new threats has also been created which if neglected they would result in irretrievable disasters. Security standards of information technology have been developed and presented to create and perpetuate the security of information technology, from which we can point to the following, BS7799, TSF, TCSEC, ITSEC, and CTCPEC. The BS7799 standard is one of the most famous security standards which are recognized under the management system of information security. More than thousands of organizations have ever been success to gain the management certificate of information security through implementing this standard. Since this issue has not been addressed well in Iran, it seems necessary to while studying the existing security standards, the needed measures be taken to choose and implement them as soon as possible.
