Planning the Military Strategy in Some Countries

Military strategy is a guiding document, which is employed to serve national purposes, interests as well as national security. Therefore, the process of preparing military strategy is very important. Also, complication of the situation and variety of involved factors, challenges and threats at the regional and international levels have increased the difficulties in this regard. Thus, planning military strategy faces many problems including the process ofplanning and the relevant patterns. However, even with lots of difficulties, the countries are in desperate need to plan and to implement military strategy. Following a review of theoretic sources in the field of military strategy, the paper is explaining the process of planning military strategy in a few countries like Russia, China, The USA, France, Turkey, India, and the NATO and finally these processes are compared with each other.
