Explanation of the Linguistic Justice Concept in Media

This article, referring to contradiction of ethic codes in media, attributes this problem to injustice application of language in media, and argues that the usage of unjust language in media is the main cause and origin of this phenomenon. Introducing critical linguistics and its focus on application of language in different texts, some definitions of language by linguists have been mentioned. Describing functions of language and media, the language use in media to represent the realities is examined. The main goal of this article is to evaluate the concept of Discrimination and bias in media language versus justice-oriented language in media, and through different examples of media texts, discriminative using of language including ethnic and gender discrimination in media is explained. Persuasive communications exemplifies justice application of language in media.
