An Explanation of the Factors that Can Affect the Selection of the I.R.I Scenes for Operation with an Approach to Future Wars

Selecting scenes for operation in all wars is a very important issue for all military commanders and their staff members in different levels, especially at the intermediate level of war. The selection of the scenes for operation can be ensured only when precise and effective factors and measures could be used for them. This requires the mentioned factors to be properly detected and examined. The Islamic Republic of Iran should explain the scenes for operation in proportion to the political, economical, cultural, military, and the geographical environment, and also by using the factors and measures. This research is aimed at determining the factors that can affect the selection of the scenes for operation. In doing so, the author has determined and composed the scenes for operation, the characteristics of the future wars and the effective factors that existed in each of these wars. Then, in addition to library methods, documents and questionnaire, the required information were also collected and supplemented in order to develop and supplement the information. The type of research has been applied, developmental, and the research method historical and survey. In this research, the statistical community is composed of nearly 1000 people including senior commanders, experts, and faculty members of both the I.RG.C and the Army, who are all military experts. The mentioned research method has been performed through multistage cluster method, and the sample volume has been determined using the statistical formula of Friedman. The results of the cited research indicate that the main factors and their subfactors in the future wars are social, cultural, economical, military, political factors, and military geography in order of priority.
