Communicative Characteristics of C41 Network

Employment of advanced communication technology and utilization of rapid and immediale informational systems for the purpose of providing communication between the main elements of the battlefield (command and control centers, sensors and intelligence systems, operational forces and communication and combat equipments) are some of the main causes of victory at war and supremacy over the enemy al present wars which are known as information warfare.Todayʹs warfare system has the most mobility and dispersion towards enemy conditions. The components of the system are continuously moving, transferring, reorganizing, appearing and disappearing. Therefore, the enemy is always trying to disrupt and destroy them by physical force 7 electronic and communicative systems. The C4I network structure connects these elements to form a vast information network in different operational levels and then, after collecting information from the whole battlefield and processing it, publishes it for decision-making. This type of network should have some characteristic features. In such conditions, the C4I network, which contains hundreds of great communicational networks and thousands of military equipments and devices, should have a structure that can support all parts of the network in a reliable manner.
