Designing bio-economic system for Holstein dairy cattle in Fars province

The optimum breeding method canʹt be achieved without consideration the relative importance of traits and their economical value. The determination of economic coefficients or the amount of genetic growth of trait in the improvement of the production system output, determines the relative importance of each one in the breeding programs. In this research, the economic coefficient of 4 traits including milk yield, fat, protein and fertility percentage were investigated by bio-economic model at 2 different production systems of Holstein dairy cattle in Fars province. The absolute average of economic values for milk yield, fat, protein and fertility percentage for each dairy cattle per each yearʹs were equal to 633742.8, 301941.4, -228465 and 163444.4 respectively.
