Factors affecting academic achievement of e-learners in higher education: A success model based on views of learners

Enormous funding spent on e-learning will have no return unless students succeed. Therefore, in this study a model was suggested on the basis of theoretical principles and research studies on e-learning in higher education. Main dimensions of Technology Success Model (TSM) include learnerʹs characteristics, learning management, and perceptions of the system. Based on the general model of technology success a model was developed with emphasis on e-learning and was tested on a sample of 105 students using multiple regression analysis. Main findings indicate that perceptions of the system would directly affect learnersʹ success.
